When an order has been successfully placed, the checkout page will refresh to show your order number - we recommend keeping a copy of this until you receive your confirmation email! This email will be sent to the email address you provided during the checkout process.
If your page does not show you a successful order ID, there are a number of reasons that may cause an unsuccessful transaction, those that occur most often include:
- A network connection issue, causing the checkout process to time-out; or
- The checkout page is refreshed before an order is confirmed.
When this occurs, the payment associated with the order may sometimes show as "pending" on your statement (credit card, PayPal, etc). We are pleased to confirm that this is nothing to worry about!
These pending transactions are often uncaptured payments, which are automatically refunded in the form of a reversal. In the case of a reversal you won't see a refund credit on your statement – the original authorisation will simply disappear from your statement entirely after a few days. There will be no payment, and no refund. It'll appear as if the whole transaction never happened! Your bank or payment platform authority should be able to confirm this for you should you have any additional concerns.
