We recommend downloading the free AusPost App, available for most smart phones. It allows for push notifications so you are kept up to date with any major status change for your deliveries: dispatch, tracking, delays and delivery locations.
It also provides you with additional options, such as redirection requests to alternate addresses, Parcel Lockers or collection points. When a delivery is expected, you will also be provided with the option to add safe delivery instructions for a more successful delivery. Following is a list of the available features as provided by Australia Post:

Request eligible signature-on-delivery parcels be left in a safe place (eligible parcels are shown in the app).
- Sign up to a free MyPost account to enjoy additional features:
- Redirect a parcel to a Post Office, Parcel Locker, PO Box or new street address - even while it’s on its way to you.
- Select the delivery notifications most relevant to you, and choose whether you receive them by SMS, email or the app.
