We understand that a large majority of our products are purchased as gifts and are often a surprise! It is for this reason we limit our correspondence to the purchaser, through the contact information provided at checkout.
Our courier partners do often inform recipients that a delivery is on the way! This way they can be certain to provide the best service and ensure that the recipient knows to expect a delivery. Following are a few examples of the information our courier partners share:
Australia Post
Australia Post provides everyone with the option to sign up to an account that can be linked to their personal contact information.
Australia Post also has an interactive app available for most smartphones. It is linked to a phone number, email address and/or delivery address.
These options provide a recipient with the most up-to-date information for a delivery. More information can be found on the Australia Post website: Australia Post App or MyPost Account.
These are a voluntary applications and we are unable to prevent a recipient being notified via these methods.
StarTrack Couriers
StarTrack Couriers connects with the recipient via an SMS, that links to all tracking information and updates on delivery status. Please note that this SMS can only be sent if a valid Australian mobile number has been provided for the recipient at checkout.
Home Delivery Services (HDS)
HDS connects with the recipient via an SMS, that links to all tracking information and updates on delivery status:
- A "pre-delivery" text is sent the evening before an expected delivery;
- An "on board for delivery" text is sent when the delivery is close-by; and
- A "delivered" text is received once a delivery has been completed successfully.
Please note that these messages can only be sent if a valid Australian mobile number has been provided for the recipient at checkout. Due to the chilled nature of our cheese hampers, we strongly recommend providing a recipient's contact number.
Though we do understand your hamper may be a surprise, it's highly advisable to let your recipient know that there is something coming for them to avoid disappointment from an overlooked parcel that has been left in a safe place at the nominated address.
